APU SPE Student Chapter Handover Ceremony marks a new Chapter
Recently, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) Society of Petroleum Engineers Student Chapter (APU SPE SC) successfully hosted a handover ceremony to officially transition leadership for the 2024/2025 term.
The event marked a significant milestone, symbolising continuity, growth, and the beginning of a new era filled with fresh opportunities and aspirations.
On top of that, the event was graced by esteemed guests:
- Assoc Prof Ts Dr Sathish Kumar Selva Perumal (Associate Professor, School of Engineering at APU)
- Dr Wong Siew Fan (Senior Lecturer, School of Engineering at APU)
The event began with opening remarks from Divya Kousyeka Indran, the outgoing APU SPE SC President.
She reflected on the chapter’s remarkable achievements during the 2023/2024 term, emphasising its growth and contributions to the field of petroleum engineering.
Also, her speech acknowledged the efforts of the outgoing committee in fostering innovation and engagement within the chapter.
The much-anticipated announcement of the new committee for the 2024/2025 term was made, igniting enthusiasm among attendees.
The highlight of the event was an address by Bany Zechariah Mangar Chol, the newly appointed APU SPE SC President.
In his speech, he shared his vision for the chapter, outlining ambitious goals and initiatives to further enhance student engagement and industry collaboration.
His inspiring words resonated with attendees, setting a promising tone for the new committee.
