Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) is delighted to share the culmination of yet another successful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project undertaken by its School of Foundation (SoF).
On March 22, 2024, SoF celebrated the conclusion of its third collaboration with Elshaddai Refugee School, marking a significant milestone in the School’s ongoing commitment to educational empowerment.
Themed around “Public Speaking,” March provided a platform for refugee students to refine their oratory skills under the guidance of dedicated APU student volunteers.

Witnessing the remarkable growth and confidence exhibited by the refugee students was truly inspiring. Despite facing minimal exposure to personal electronic devices, their insights on topics such as "Electronics and Social Interaction" showcased their adaptability and intellectual acumen.
One of the CSR initiatives at Elshaddai Refugee School aims to equip refugee students with essential skills in creating impactful posters and presentations, thereby enhancing their communicative prowess.
“We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to three esteemed lecturers from SoF, Ms Nurjahan Othman, Ms Jaspreet Kaur, and Ms Rachel, who led the charge in mentoring these budding talents,” said Dr Sarvinder Kaur, Head of School of Foundation.
The CSR team which is orchestrated by Ms Iman Danish Sha, exemplifying their unwavering commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment not only empowered the refugee students but also enriched the teaching experiences of our volunteers.
As the School bids farewell to the current cohort of APU student volunteers, it eagerly anticipates welcoming a new team in April, ready to continue the legacy of educational empowerment.
Over the next three months, SoF lecturers will collaborate closely to design an engaging workshop focused on “Digital Literacy.” This upcoming initiative aims to equip refugee students with essential skills in creating impactful posters and presentations, thereby enhancing their communicative prowess.
