Enterprise @ APU is pleased to announce the establishment of APU’s very own Enterprise Club!
With great excitement, APU’s very own Enterprise Club has been launched to spark the entrepreneurial spirit and interest in our students!
Enterprise @ APU was founded in March 2021 under the leadership of Prof. Ir. Dr. Vinesh Thiruchelvam, Deputy Vice Chancellor, and the guidance of our Entrepreneur-In-Residence, Mr. Dash Dhakshinamoorthy. Now, with Prof. Dr. Angelina Yee, the Director of Research & Enterprise, and a group of dedicated APU academicians on board, the Enterprise @ APU is set to establish the foundation and catalyse the processes to achieve the following:
To date, Enterprise @ APU has been working on tapping students’ interest in building an entrepreneurial mindset by exposing them to a series of talks and panel discussions by startup founders and CEOs/CTOs in Enterprise Wednesday Fireside Chats and CEO/CTO Series.
In addition, Ideation Bootcamps are organised to welcome participation from students with an interest in testing out their startup ideas and gaining some useful knowledge. From this platform, they also have the opportunity to meet some industry advisors. Those who have a deeper passion will continue to be groomed in the Idea Accelerator and Venture Building programmes.
Now, Enterprise @ APU is bringing the Enterprise Club to our students to provide them with more opportunities to learn about what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur!
Enterprise Club-‘For the Students, by the Students’
With their motto “For The Students, By The Students”, students will be encouraged to work hand-in-hand with the Enterprise @ APU team to design and execute programmes, events, and bootcamps that develop students' entrepreneurial knowledge and skills and help them to grow an entrepreneurial mindset so that they can become more enterprising and resilient individuals despite challenges.
Students in the club will also get the chance to not only participate but also learn to organise events or projects with the academic supervisory team of Enterprise @ APU.
Now and Beyond
The Enterprise Club is currently led by the main advisor, Mr. Tan Kok Kiang (SoMAQS) and co-advisor, Mr. Ooi Aik Khong (SOMAD) with Ms. Rachel Chou (SOF) as the co-ordinator.
